LK Roofing
Fibre Cement Slate Roof in Bromley
Project Overview
This project involved a full roof covering renewal at a property in Bromley. LK Roofing Group removed the existing tiles, felt and battens, installed new roofing felt and battens, and completed the roof with fibre cement slates. Dry verge and dry ridge systems were used to finish the roof edges and ridge.
The Original Roofing Problem
The existing roof covering was visibly weathered, with the original tiles and roof-edge details recorded before the renewal began.
The project required the existing tiles, felt and battens to be stripped off so the roof could be prepared for a complete new covering and updated edge and ridge finishes.
Work Completed by LK Roofing Group
LK Roofing Group removed the existing roof tiles, felt and battens. New roofing felt and battens were then installed to prepare the roof slopes for the replacement covering.
Fibre cement slates were laid in consistent courses to create a smooth, uniform finish. A dry verge system completed the gable edges, while a dry ridge system finished the ridge line without relying on a traditional mortar-only detail.

The Completed Result
