LK Roofing
Pitched Roof in Orpington, March 2026
Project Overview
This project involved a complete pitched roof renewal in Orpington. LK Roofing Group stripped off the existing tiles, felt and battens before installing new roofing felt, battens and concrete tiles. Leadwork around the chimney stacks was renewed and new cemented verges were formed to complete the roof edges.
The Original Roofing Problem
The original roof covering showed visible weathering and moss across the roof slopes, ridge and adjoining sections. The existing chimney weathering and verge details formed part of the areas included in the renewal.
The roof needed a full strip-off so the covering, felt and battens could be replaced and the roof could be finished with renewed leadwork and verge details.
Work Completed by LK Roofing Group
The existing tiles, roofing felt and battens were removed from the pitched roof. New roofing felt and battens were installed before the roof slopes were re-covered with concrete tiles.
The works included renewing the leadwork around the chimney stacks and forming new cemented verges. The completed photographs record the tile courses, ridge, eaves, gable edges, adjoining roof sections and chimney details.
