Pitched Roof on Croydon Road

This project involved pitched roofing works at 200 Croydon Road, BR2. The photographic record shows the roof during opening-up and preparation, followed by reinstatement and completion. The work covered plain-tile roof coverings, roof junctions and valleys, chimney and wall abutments, eaves and gutter interfaces, lead and weathering details, plus mechanically fixed ridge and hip tiles.

The initial record shows the existing pitched roof condition and the areas being prepared for renewal. The roof included plain-tile coverings, valleys, roof junctions, abutments, eaves and weathering details that all needed to be addressed as part of the works.

The project required the roof coverings to be opened or removed so the underlying pitched-roof structure and junctions could be exposed before reinstatement.

LK Roofing Group opened and stripped the relevant roof coverings to expose the pitched-roof structure. This gave access to the roof junctions, valleys and abutment areas before preparation and reinstatement progressed.

The roof was prepared with visible valley, abutment and weathering details as the plain-tile covering was reinstated. The photographic record shows work around chimney and wall abutments, eaves, gutter interfaces and lead details.

The completed roof was finished with plain tiles, mechanically fixed ridge and hip tiles, valley details, abutments, leadwork and eaves details visible from multiple viewpoints.

The completed roof has uniform tile courses with finished hip, ridge and eaves details. The bay’s renewed tile hanging and formed leadwork provide a neat finish beneath the windows and around the external tiled angles.

The completion report records the visible works as completed on 4 August 2026, with final photographs documenting the main pitched roof, bay tile hanging and associated leadwork.
